I need a break from Covid-19. The whole topic is stressing me out. So, tonight I decided to share a recent discovery.
Drive thru restaurants are not very popular in Japan - at least compared to the US. Since the majority of people are on bikes or walking, it just doesn't make sense. There is a McDonald's down the street that has one. However, most golden arches I see don't even have them.
So, imagine my surprise when I spot a drive thru at a sushi restaurant! I rarely wish we had a car, but in this case I would have just gotten a kick out of going through the sushi drive thru.
It doesn't get more Japanese than this!
In 2017 my family headed to Tokyo. My husband had a new job and my son and I came along for the ride. This move was my second move to Japan - the first was for a year in 2002. At that time I was a single, recent college graduate. Moving abroad as a family was a whole different ball of wax. As I live this crazy life in Japan, I track our adventures and my observations, creating an unofficial guidebook to the city.
