Muddy buddy

After a super rough morning yesterday, I went to the park.  And there were the park moms, being awesome as always.  I had a great chat with one of the moms where we laughed and shared.  It was very therapeutic.

Today we continued with the crazy weather theme that we've been having.  There are still big chunks of snow all over the place.  Shortly after arriving at Piyo Piyo, it began to rain.  The kids didn't mind at all.  They still climbed in the snow cave that was built over a week ago and kept busy with other activities.  The moms still made soup on a campfire.

After Piyo Piyo, the park moms headed over to the athletic field, which is next to the playground.  The covered area is right between the athletic field and the play structure.  So even though it was pouring, we gathered under the cover and ate chocolate while chatting about Tokyo Disneyland.

The kids continued to play, getting dirtier and dirtier.  Before I knew it, my son was covered in mud, cold, and wet, despite his Muddy Buddy attire (Tuffo rainsuit).  He was beyond cranky, because being cold and wet will do that to you.  Yet on the way home, he still realized that jumping in mud puddles really is the best way to get some of the mud off before mom sends you into the bathtub.

Now it is snowing again.  It is forecasted to snow for the next 12 hours.  This winter is not the norm here.  I enjoyed the mild weather while it lasted.  I hope it will return soon.
