Tomatoes are in the ground

I spent a good portion of the morning at the garden today, planting tomato starts and cucumbers.  It seems so strange to me.  According to the only English website I've found detailing a planting schedule for Tokyo, I can plant these warm weather plants any time after February 20th. 

It boggles my mind that I have put these plants in the ground already.  However, with the intense heat of Tokyo summers, I'm also not surprised. 

May this be a fruitful tomato (and other crop) season.
