Tomorrow I go back to school. Hopefully this time it will stick. Every time I go back, I think this. I tried to study a little bit during vacation. Using FaceTime, my friend and I started off strong and then slowly started chatting more and more and studying less and less. Some of those teenage habits are hard to kick - even when you're almost 40!
But tomorrow I take another stab at learning Japanese. And my friend and I will rededicate ourselves to our studies.
Tonight is my last night of summer vacation. So, instead of writing a long, fun blog post, I'm going to go hang out with my husband. Homework starts tomorrow.
In 2017 my family headed to Tokyo. My husband had a new job and my son and I came along for the ride. This move was my second move to Japan - the first was for a year in 2002. At that time I was a single, recent college graduate. Moving abroad as a family was a whole different ball of wax. As I live this crazy life in Japan, I track our adventures and my observations, creating an unofficial guidebook to the city.
