I love finding new products that just make my eyebrows raise. Who thought of this? What department said "let's develop this product?" Which marketing department decided that the public would love it?
Sometimes it pays off. Have you ever had chocolate covered potato chips? If not, try them! Oh, my goodness. They are a match made in heaven.
But other times I can't even bring myself to give it the benefit of the doubt and just try it. The other day, my husband pulled a new drink off the shelves and asked if I wanted to take a drink.
I've heard of putting a squeeze of lemon in tomato juice (and a bloody mary), but lemonade is just going too far! The addition of sugar just makes me gag.
Why? Why? Why? In a country that rarely dines on anything other than traditional Japanese food, why are they obsessed with weird snacks, like crazy flavored potato chips? Can anyone explain this to me? Please?
In 2017 my family headed to Tokyo. My husband had a new job and my son and I came along for the ride. This move was my second move to Japan - the first was for a year in 2002. At that time I was a single, recent college graduate. Moving abroad as a family was a whole different ball of wax. As I live this crazy life in Japan, I track our adventures and my observations, creating an unofficial guidebook to the city.
