Another date with Mickey

I have  now been to DisneySea four times.  I'm becoming quite the regular.  When people visit, they ask to go there as there is only one DisneySea in the world and it just so happens to be in Tokyo.

Here are my write-ups for my previous visits:
Once again, we had a magical time.  We saw and took photos with lots of characters that made us feel like kids.  We rode rides that made us giggle, gasp, and exclaim with glee.  And we walked our legs off - only 19,463 steps today (11.4 km or 7.08 miles).

At the end of the day, my husband (who had to work today and couldn't join us) met us just outside the park.  He was going to just meet us there so he could take our son home early from the park, since he has school tomorrow.  But we had ridden all the rides we wanted to and were not interested in waiting over 100 minutes for any others (they tend to "sell out" of fast passes at DisneySea pretty early and the lines at this park are LONG), so we decided to all go home at the same time.

For our past Disney adventures, we've stayed in a hotel near the park.  However, for this trip, we slept at home and took the train at the crack of dawn to the park.  This involved getting up before 5 am and arriving at the park just after 7 am.  Instead of taking the train home, we took the shuttle bus from the park to Ikebukuro.  There are several shuttles that go to the major areas of Tokyo, like Shinjuku and even the airports.  The one we took cost ¥1,000 ($9 USD) for the one way ticket.  It was totally worth it!

We sat in a nice, comfortable tour bus instead of a crowded train.  We could relax and not worry about missing our stop if we dozed.  And it dropped us off where we could easily catch a ride for the rest of the trip home (we'd have to transfer trains anyway, so it wasn't an additional hassle).

While I wouldn't recommend trying to do it all in one day again, this is a great option.  The one major drawback is the buses to the park only go from Ikebukuro three times a day, but coming back has a pretty regular schedule.

The time has come to say goodbye

Earlier this year my husband applied for a new job. As usual, I encouraged him as he went through the interview process. It was a long, draw...
