After almost a year of not being able to fall asleep at night coupled with really bad sleep, I am finally admitting it is a problem. With how much we explore, it is getting more and more difficult to not be running on a full tank. I know it is socially acceptable to fall asleep on trains, but I really don't like doing so since I typically have my child with me.
Last week I decided the time had come to really start to tackle this problem. If I am going to live my life to the fullest in Japan and fully enjoy everything, I need to start with a rested body!
So, I am now forcing myself to bed at a decent hour with a small dose of melatonin and a mind-numbing, sleep-inducing podcast. I still find myself chanting "go to sleep, go to sleep," but at this point that might just be my way of counting sleep.
Hopefully as I get more sleep, my energy will skyrocket and my writing with improve. Fingers crossed!
