Although we spend most of our days at the big, green Hikarigaoka Park, sometimes we try to mix it up a bit by going to a different park. The local parks are always dirt filled areas with very plain play structures, many of them made with cement.
I find it interesting to see the difference in perspective between my son and myself when we see these parks. My son gets excited and says "Can we play there?" And I think "That looks incredibly old and a bit dangerous. Is it even safe for kids?" He goes and climbs, slides, and runs around. He loves it. He doesn't care in the least what it looks like.
We wandered over to Tagara Park for a bit of playtime. The main feature at the park is a big blob of a climbing structure with a couple slides shooting out in different directions.
There are also swings, a jungle gym, and a sand box.
It was a windy, chilly day, but spending time outside was our top priority.
