Japanese grocery stores take a bit of getting used to. They are crowded to say the least. Stacks and stacks of boxes are everywhere. Signs cover every bit of visual space that is available.
It is strange the things that you miss when you're far from home. I miss wide aisles where 2 people with carts can walk past each other. It is such a little thing. But to me, it is a reminder every time I'm in the store that I'm not home.
